Dystopian Book Group

Dystopian Book Group

When dystopian fiction started getting a little too real, we started reading (and watching) it with a critical eye.

In 2017, I started coordinating an online dystopian book group. More than a dozen activists and lawyers gather on Slack to discuss our reactions to the books, as well as the good (and bad) film and television adaptations. Feel free to follow along on Twitter with #dystobg. The booklist is below:

JANUARY/FEBRUARY
Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler
Bonus: There's a sequel!

MARCH/APRIL
Children of Men by P.D. James
Bonus: There's a film!

MAY/JUNEA Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
Bonus: There's a TV series!

JULY/AUGUST
